Common IT problems in accounting firms
Software grinds to a halt at deadline
The one week you cannot afford dropouts is the one week the workstation, the WiFi or the network chokes. Multi-tab bookkeeping and 3-monitor setups need a proper baseline.
Cyber requirements you cannot explain
The ATO is tightening tax-agent cyber obligations. Your PI insurer wants an MFA declaration. Nobody has explained what to do about MFA, backups, patching or logging.
Client files with no real backup
Client tax packs, workpapers, prior-year records, mailboxes and SharePoint. If a machine dies or a Microsoft 365 mailbox gets wiped and the backup was never tested, the firm does not survive it.
Remote and hybrid work security
Staff on personal laptops with no endpoint protection, logging in over a home network. It works, until one wrong click on a Friday afternoon.
How we solve them
The accounting-software vendor supports the app. We own everything the vendor does not: the workstations, the WiFi, Microsoft 365, backups, cybersecurity and the front-line support call.
Workstations, printers, WiFi & network
Fast multi-monitor workstations, reliable printing and scanning, WiFi across the office, plus internet with 4G failover so a line drop does not stop billable hours.
Learn moreMicrosoft 365, backups & identity
Accounts, MFA, mailboxes, SharePoint, Teams, onboarding new staff and offboarding old ones. And a proper Microsoft 365 backup, because Microsoft's own retention is not one.
Learn moreCybersecurity & remote access
Endpoint protection, patching, phishing filtering, secure remote access VPN and cyber-insurance-friendly logging. Aligned with what the ATO and your PI insurer ask for.
Learn moreFirst-call support & vendor triage
Call us first. If it is your setup we fix it. If it is your accounting software we escalate to the vendor with the diagnostic data ready. When the vendor cannot help, we usually still can.

What does Rezolve IT actually cover if the accounting software vendor supports the app?
We cover everything else. Your team's computers and monitors, the WiFi and network, Microsoft 365, backups, cybersecurity, phones and CCTV. When something breaks, we are your first call: if it is your infrastructure we fix it, if it is your accounting software we take it to the vendor with the diagnostic data ready. And when the vendor is slow to help or cannot reach a fix, we can usually work around it from our side.
What do the new ATO cyber rules mean for us?
The ATO expects tax agents to have a baseline of cyber controls including MFA, patched systems and staff training. We help you meet those expectations and document what you have in place, without over-engineering it.
How are client tax records backed up?
We back up every client file, workpaper and practice database both onsite and to a secure offsite location, encrypted end to end. We test restores on a schedule so we know the backup actually works.
Can partners work securely from home?
Yes. We build secure hybrid setups using Microsoft 365, conditional access and MFA so partners can log in from home without exposing client data.
Do you help with PI insurance cyber questionnaires?
Yes. When your PI insurer asks about MFA, backups, patching and incident response, we help you complete the questionnaire honestly and lift any gaps beforehand.
