Rural tech problems we hear all the time
WiFi that stops at the back deck
The house router will not reach the shed 400 metres away, let alone the workshop or the machinery bay. Running Ethernet across a paddock is not the answer either.
One dropout kills the whole day
When the internet goes down, EFTPOS stops, live-stock scanners stop, the office phone stops. On a farm, a full day without internet is not viable.
Gate cameras with nowhere to plug in
The front gate is 300 metres from mains power. Ordinary CCTV does not work out there without proper solar, battery and weatherproof housing.
Long drive for a five-minute fix
When something breaks and you are 40 minutes down a gravel road, a technician callout is expensive. Most rural tech needs to be fixable remotely.
How we solve them
Purpose-built rural networks. Long-range wireless, failover internet, solar-powered cameras and everything set up to be diagnosed and fixed remotely.
Long-range point-to-point WiFi
Directional links between homestead, sheds, cellar door and machinery bays. Full network at every building without trenching cable.
Learn moreStarlink & 4G failover
Primary internet plus an automatic failover, so when the fixed line drops the farm keeps running. Both connections load-balanced in one box.
Learn moreFarm & gate CCTV
Solar-powered gate cameras with number-plate reading, weatherproof camera housings on sheds, and remote viewing from anywhere.
Learn moreRemote support & monitoring
Because we cannot drive out every time. We monitor the network 24/7 and fix most issues before you notice, without leaving Geelong.

Frequently asked questions
How do you get WiFi to a shed 500 metres from the house?
We use enterprise-grade point-to-point wireless links. A dish on the house, a dish on the shed, and a full network at both ends. It looks like WiFi to your phone but under the hood it is a proper wireless bridge that carries hundreds of megabits over long distance.
Can you install CCTV where there is no mains power?
Yes. We use solar panels sized to the location, deep-cycle batteries and low-power PoE cameras. For gate cameras we usually pair them with an LTE modem so you get live footage and alerts on your phone.
What internet is best on a rural property?
It depends on the address. On many properties we run Starlink as primary because speeds are consistently better than fixed wireless, and pair it with a 4G or 5G modem as automatic failover. In town areas with NBN we usually flip that around.
Do you service properties outside the Bellarine?
Yes. We regularly work in Inverleigh, Meredith, Winchelsea, Lethbridge, Anakie, Bannockburn and the wider Golden Plains and Colac hinterland. Even further out we can do the installation and support most things remotely.
Can I read plates on cars entering the property?
Yes. With the right camera, angle and lighting we can capture number plates on vehicles coming through the gate. Useful for contractor tracking, deliveries and after-hours activity.
Signal problems on the farm?
Book a free site visit. We will walk the property, map the buildings, and quote a network that gets signal to every corner, plus CCTV wherever you need it.
