Common IT problems in hospitality
POS drops out mid-service
When the WiFi drops, EFTPOS stops, dockets stop printing and orders stop reaching the kitchen. Bad tech turns a full house into a bad review.
Guest WiFi that gets abused
Guest WiFi sharing the same network as the POS is a compliance and performance problem. It also does not give you any marketing value.
Background music that stops
A phone plugged into a Bluetooth speaker running Spotify is not a music system. Multi-zone audio with reliable streaming is table stakes for anything past a small cafe.
CCTV that fails a licensing audit
Liquor licensing has specific requirements around camera coverage and retention. Under-cabled camera systems will not survive an audit.
How we solve them
IT for hospitality that survives service. Separate networks for POS and guests, background music that just plays, and CCTV that passes licensing.
POS + guest WiFi done properly
Segmented networks so the POS and EFTPOS live on their own network, with guest WiFi on a captive portal you can brand and collect emails from.

Learn moreFrequently asked questions
Can our POS keep working when the internet drops?
Yes. We install 4G or 5G failover so if the fixed line goes down, the POS, EFTPOS and cloud kitchen printers keep working. Most staff will not notice the swap.
Can guests log in to WiFi with a splash page?
Yes. We can put your guest WiFi behind a branded captive portal that asks for an email address, agrees to your terms, and gives you a marketing list. It is separated from the POS network for security.
Do you install multi-zone music systems for wineries and cafes?
Yes. Ceiling speakers zoned by area, so the cellar door, the tasting room and the function space each have independent volume and playlist control. We work with music services like Soundtrack Your Brand for licensing.
Will CCTV meet our liquor licensing conditions?
Yes. We design camera coverage to meet Victorian liquor licensing conditions and industry expectations around retention and export. If licensing asks for footage, we can pull it in minutes.
Can you install for a cellar door in a rural setting?
Yes. We regularly work at wineries around the Bellarine, Moorabool Valley and Otways. Long-range wireless, Starlink and rural CCTV are all standard for us.
