$15 buys fifteen times the speed
Moving from 50/20 at $100 to 750/100 at $115 costs another $15 a month. It gets you fifteen times the download and five times the upload. Almost nowhere else on the ladder does $15 do that much work.
500/50 undercuts 100/40
500/50 is $105. 100/40 is $111. The cheaper plan is five times faster down and ten megabits faster up. If you were about to order 100/40, order 500/50 instead and keep the difference.
The top tier is the cheapest bandwidth
Per megabit, 12/1 costs $5.50 and 2000/200 costs 10 cents. That is not a reason to buy 2 Gbps you will never use, but it is a reason to check the tier above the one you had in mind.
Speeds are plan maximums. What you actually get depends on the nbn technology at your address, the equipment in your building and how many people are using the link at once. The higher tiers need fibre to the premises. We check what your address can carry before we quote, so you are never sold a tier the line cannot deliver.
Prices exclude GST and are charged monthly. Installation, hardware and any lead-in work are quoted separately once we have confirmed what is available at the site.

Router and firewall included in the design
We size and configure the gateway to match the tier. A 2 Gbps service behind an underpowered router is a 400 Mbps service with a bigger bill, so we specify UniFi hardware that can route the line rate you are paying for.
A backup link that actually fails over
The 12/1 tier at $66 is not much of a primary connection, but it is a cheap second one. Paired with a mobile service or a second nbn service, your EFTPOS, phones and alarm stay up when the main line drops.
One provider for the whole stack
The internet, the phone system, the network, the cameras and the mobiles all come from us. When something breaks there is no argument about whose fault it is.

We are in Geelong. When a service goes down we log the fault, chase it and keep you posted, rather than handing you a reference number and a call centre queue.

Questions
Can I actually get these speeds at my address?
That depends on the nbn technology serving your building. Fibre to the premises can carry the full range up to 2000/500. Other technologies cap out lower, and some sites need lead-in work before the higher tiers are possible. Send us the address and we will check what is available before quoting anything.
Why is 500/50 cheaper than 100/40?
Because wholesale pricing is not built as a neat ladder, and we pass the pricing through as it comes rather than smoothing it out. It does mean 100/40 at $111 is beaten by 500/50 at $105 on price, download and upload all at once. If 100/40 was what you had in mind, take the 500/50.
What do the two numbers mean?
The first is download speed in megabits per second, the second is upload. Download matters for browsing, streaming and pulling files from the cloud. Upload matters for video calls, sending large files, cloud backup and pushing CCTV footage offsite. Offices that back up overnight or run cameras usually feel an upload shortage long before a download one.
How much upload do we really need?
As a rough guide, a Teams video call uses a couple of megabits up per participant, and a nightly cloud backup wants as much as you can give it. If everyone is on calls at once, or you are shifting camera footage or large design files offsite, the 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps upload tiers earn their money. If your team mostly consumes, 50 Mbps up is plenty.
Do you supply the router and firewall?
Yes. We specify and configure the gateway as part of the job, normally UniFi, sized so it can route the speed tier you are buying. Hardware is quoted separately from the monthly service so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Can we run a second connection for redundancy?
Yes, and for a lot of businesses it is the best $66 a month they spend. A 12/1 service, or a mobile broadband service, sits behind the main link and takes over automatically if it drops. We configure the failover so phones, payments and alarms keep working through an outage.
Can you move our existing service across?
Usually, yes. We will look at what you are on now, what it costs and what your current contract says, then tell you honestly whether moving is worth it. If your existing plan is a better deal than what we can offer, we will say so.
Is this billed with the rest of our IT?
It can be. If we already manage your IT, mobiles or phone system, the internet service goes on the same monthly invoice and the same support arrangement, so there is one number to call and one bill to approve.
