Common IT problems in manufacturing
WiFi that is killed by steel and EMI
A tin roof, metal racking and motors on the floor make WiFi coverage a nightmare. Consumer gear does not survive on the factory floor.
Machines with old, ignored PCs
CNC and process machines running Windows 7 on the same flat network as the office. It works, but it is a ransomware disaster in waiting.
CCTV that misses the incident
Cameras aimed at the entrance and nothing on the loading dock, the yard or the dispatch bay. When something goes missing, no useful footage.
Contractors coming and going
Subbies, delivery drivers, service techs walking through the plant. No visibility of who is in the building and no easy way to give or revoke access.
How we solve them
Networks and security built for real factories. Proper WiFi across steel and racking, machine networks segmented from the office, and CCTV that covers where it matters.
Factory-grade WiFi
Enterprise access points chosen and placed for factory environments. Coverage across the plant, the warehouse, mezzanines and outside yards.
Learn moreIT/OT segmentation & cyber
Segmented networks that keep production kit isolated from the office, with MFA, endpoint protection and a cyber baseline your customers will accept.
Learn moreCCTV for OH&S and stock
Cameras covering the yard, loading dock, dispatch area, cool room and staff-only zones. Investigate incidents without guesswork.
Learn moreContractor access control
Card, PIN and mobile-based access on doors and gates. Instant revoke when a contractor finishes, full audit trail of who was on-site.
Learn moreFrequently asked questions
Can you get WiFi across a steel-frame factory?
Yes. It takes proper access points, careful placement, and often outdoor-rated APs to bridge across yards and warehouses. We survey the site so coverage matches how the space is actually used.
How do you protect production kit that runs old Windows?
We segment the production network from the office so the older kit cannot be reached from a compromised office PC. We layer firewalling, monitoring and controlled remote access on top so vendors can still support the machine safely.
Can you cover the outside yard with CCTV?
Yes. We use outdoor-rated cameras with weatherproof housings, proper lensing for long distances, and lighting where needed. Coverage of the yard, loading dock and truck lane is standard on our sites.
Do you help with cyber baseline for supply chains?
Yes. Larger customers increasingly ask for MFA, tested backups and an incident response plan. We help you build that baseline and document it in a way that satisfies procurement.
Can contractors and drivers get controlled access?
Yes. Access control with card, PIN or mobile unlock means you can give a contractor access for the shutdown window and revoke it the moment they leave. Every entry is logged.
