Common IT problems in aged care
Care software down at handover
Care notes stall at shift change. Usually the culprit is the tablet, the WiFi or a Microsoft 365 sign-in, not the software. That is a clinical risk, not just a tech problem.
WiFi that will not reach resident rooms
Long corridors, brick walls and heavy furniture kill signal. Residents cannot video call family and staff tablets keep dropping mid-round.
Uncontrolled access to secure wards
Physical keys and mechanical codes for memory-support wings mean anyone with the code has access, forever. That does not fit modern audit expectations.
Sensitive records without proper backup
Care records, medication charts, clinical notes and Microsoft 365 mailboxes are irreplaceable. Untested backups, shared logins and no MFA is a risk you cannot carry.
How we solve them
The care-software vendor supports the app. We own everything the vendor does not: the tablets, the WiFi, Microsoft 365, backups, cybersecurity, access control and CCTV.
Tablets, printers, WiFi & network
Staff workstations, clinical tablets, printers, whole-of-facility WiFi across every resident room and outdoor zone, plus internet with 4G failover so a line drop does not stop care notes.
Learn moreMicrosoft 365, backups & identity
Accounts, MFA, mailboxes, SharePoint, Teams, onboarding new staff and offboarding old ones. And a proper Microsoft 365 backup, because Microsoft's own retention is not one.
Learn moreAccess control & CCTV
Card, PIN and mobile-based access on memory-support wings and staff-only areas with a full audit trail. Cameras in corridors, entries and car parks, avoiding resident bedrooms.
Learn moreCybersecurity & first-call support
Endpoint protection, patching, phishing filtering and secure remote access VPN. Call us first when something breaks: we fix your setup, or we escalate to the care-software vendor with diagnostic data. When the vendor cannot help, we usually still can.

What does Rezolve IT actually cover if the care management software vendor supports the app?
We cover everything else. Your team's computers, tablets and monitors, the WiFi and network, Microsoft 365, backups, cybersecurity, phones, CCTV and access control. When something breaks, we are your first call: if it is your infrastructure we fix it, if it is your care management software we take it to the vendor with the diagnostic data ready. And when the vendor is slow to help or cannot reach a fix, we can usually work around it from our side.
Can residents have their own WiFi separate from staff?
Yes. We segment resident and staff WiFi, so residents get their own reliable connection for video calls and streaming without touching the clinical network.
Can families do video calls with residents?
Yes. We help set up simple tablets or in-room devices and support families through the process. Resident WiFi carries the calls without impacting clinical systems.
How do you handle memory-support ward access?
Electronic access control on doors, with individual credentials per staff member. Full audit trail, easy revoke when a staff member leaves, and integration with rostering where useful.
How do you handle sensitive care records?
Encrypted backups both onsite and offsite, MFA on every clinical login, and a documented recovery plan. We can walk your board through what is in place if the auditor asks.
